The Clean Set is a collection of presets and profiles I’ve longed to create for many years.

A wise photographer once told me always to edit my photos so they don't look edited.

By this, he meant that the image editing should transform the photo into something beautiful without it being obviously edited.

When we shoot minimalist images or simple scenes, we don't need vintage tones, colour tones or retro looks. We want to create the feeling we had when we took the photo. We want the images to tell their story clarity.

This set is an ode to where I feel most at home. Nowhere else is the air so fresh. Nowhere else is one more protected. Nowhere else is there more peace and shelter than in a forest.

In this collection, you will find various presets for images with green colour. Some are light and airy, others deep and mysterious. This set gives your nature photos a look all their own. Because they are all created in the same way, you can use different presets for your images depending on the lighting conditions and mood, and still have the same unique look to complement your style.

The set comes with instructions on how to use the presets and the type of subject and setting they suit.

 Frequently Asked Questions

+ Which elements are important for the profiles and presets to work at their best?

SHOOTING IN RAW

Every camera has a RAW setting, and I would definitely recommend using this instead of JPG. However, this also means that your images will always need to be brightened up a little in post-processing as it is naturally a little duller than JPGs. The beauty of RAW shooting is that you can brighten underexposed images without compromising quality (though this depends on how well your camera can handle increased ISOs). You can also darken slightly overexposed images. This takes the pressure off you to capture the exposure you want when you shoot.

WHITE BALANCE

The colouring of your photos is greatly affected by how you set your white balance. You do NOT necessarily have to set your white balance in-camera, but keep in mind that you may want to adjust it AFTER you apply the preset. I recommend that you familiarise yourself with the white balance setting as it can make the difference between the success or failure of a preset (or an image).

Whether you shoot with auto white balance, Kelvin or custom white balance, you need to make sure the final product has the tones you want. It's a personal preference, but it can easily be adjusted during the shoot or in post-processing. That's the beauty of shooting in RAW format.

EXPOSURE

I would recommend slightly underexposing your photos because the presets and profiles naturally add light and contrast to your images. Keeping the exposure and highlights low gives you full flexibility when using the profiles.

What software do I need to use the presets?

You will need either Lightroom®, Lightroom CC® or Adobe Camera Raw®. The presets cannot be used without one of these programmes or with other editing programmes.

You can also use it with the Lightroom Mobile app. However, you will need to sync it with Lightroom CC® and import it from your desktop through that program.

Supported desktop software:

Adobe® Lightroom® 7.5 or later. Adobe® Camera Raw 10.5 or a later version

Supported mobile software: Adobe® Lightroom® App

Can I also use the presets in the Lightroom mobile app?

Yes, indeed, and you'll be thrilled with the results. You'll need to sync the mobile app version with Lightroom CC® and import it from your desktop device through that app.

Do you offer refunds?

As it is a digital product, all sales are final. No refunds are offered.

Once purchased, presets cannot be returned or deactivated; therefore, we cannot offer refunds.

If you have any problems importing or applying the presets, you can contact our personal support team.

+ What are profiles in Lightroom?

The difference between a profile and a preset is that a profile is an image edit created in Photoshop (or other software) and then imported into Lightroom, while a preset is a combination of Lightroom settings. Usually you import other people's presets, but you can also create your own.

Profiles are similar to presets. You click on them and they change the look of your photo. You can also adjust the intensity with the slider. The intensity can be decreased or increased.

You can adjust all the settings in a preset, but not the settings in a profile. You may be wondering why you need to include profiles in your image processing at all.

The image processing is finer and looks more professional than with a Lightroom preset. Colours are softer, sharpening and contrast are stronger and look more realistic.

Lightroom already has some of these, but they are quite strong and gaudy looking.

I prefer presets with softer colours that slightly enhance the colours already in the photo.

When choosing a profile, choose one that enhances the colours of your photo AND your photo style.

+ How are profiles imported?

You can import profiles as XMPs directly into Lightroom.

My profiles and presets come with detailed instructions on how to import and apply them. No questions are left unanswered.

+ Do I really need the profiles or can I use the presets on their own?

Normally I would say that you can use the presets on their own. Most preset sets contain all the information without the need for a profile. With the Girls with Cameras preset and profile sets, I would recommend using them together as the profile is the component that gives the final touch to the preset. It is also the element that changes the main colour scheme.

However, in the creativity group, my feedback is not self-evident.

In SOOP you can ask for more personal feedback and advice on how to improve your techniques.
