“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”

- Albert Einstein -

But why?

Instagram is THE best place to present yourself as a photographer. But it seems that it’s the influencers and businesses who are getting all the attention.

Insane when you think about it, isn’t it? Instagram is a platform for people to come and look at photos.

What I notice a lot is that many photographers, even the pros, seem to post every single good image that they take. Regardless of whether they look good next to the others or not.

Their accounts could be anybody’s and many of them look the same.

When someone comes across your account, whether via a hashtag or because you were mentioned by someone else, they will spend no longer than a couple of seconds weighing up whether to follow you or not.

New visitors need to know who you are, what you do and what you stand for - within these few seconds. Otherwise they’re gone, usually for good.

If you are struggling to get new followers and likes, then you will need to re-think your approach to Instagram.

And this is where this workshop comes into the game.

 Frequently Asked Questions

+ Are the solutions in this workshop time consuming?

They are a lot less time consuming than other methods, such as spending at least 15 minutes a day writing under other people's post. The methods taught in this workshop fit around your time schedule. Inevitably though, the more time you spend getting better at photography and experiencing Instagram, the sooner you'll succeed.

+ How does this workshop differ from other workshops about Instagram?

This workshop is purely for photographers who just want to present their work and who have an open heart about possibilities which may arise once their accounts begin to gather more followers.

+ Are followers and likes really that important?

Yes, because people only start to follow you if they like your style and feel connected to you and your work. The better you become the more enthusiastic they will become to never miss a post. Should you, on the other hand, ever get off track, then their lack of reaction will be a good sign that you need a re-think. A large following is a sign that you are popular and trustworthy. In turn, brands may reach out to you and ask you to help them with projects or offer you business deals.

+ I'm only a beginner. Is this workshop for me?

Certainly. Instagram will quickly help you grow as a photographer and also help you develop your own creative style of photography.

+ I don't own a camera and take all my photos with a smartphone. Is it worth setting up an Instagram account?

There are many successful accounts on Instagram from Smartphone photographers. With a few exceptions, if you learn how to use your smartphone well, then you will notice no difference to images created with a DSLR camera.
