Why do so many photography coaches assume you already know these fundamental skills?
As a fellow photography enthusiast, I am often intrigued by photography tutorials and workshops. I’m particularly curious about the target audience and the skills they assume the attendees already possess.
The ones I’ve recently encountered believe you are coming to the workshop with a fine-tuned skill set. This really makes me wonder: Why on earth would they be considering purchasing the workshop if they already have most of the knowledge to capture the photos taught within it?
In the “Quick Photography Tricks” workshop you will learn the skill set that every photographer needs
The tricks you learn in this workshop can be applied with any camera or smartphone and without any background photography knowledge.

Take a sneak peek at lesson one:
This photography trick has transformed thousands of my students’ photos over the years. From now on, it will give you the power to create professional-looking photos every time.
Straight Lines
Did you know that the place you stand and how you hold your camera can have a massive impact on the look of your photos? Paying attention to minor details will positively improve your photos.
The technique in this lesson involves holding your camera accurately and positioning yourself to capture buildings, interiors, windows, doors, etc. (essentially anything with an edge) so that all the vertical lines are straight.
To achieve that, you need to hold your camera perfectly straight. You can use the viewfinder’s frame or the edges of your smartphone as a reference.
The best results will be obtained if the vertical and horizontal lines are both straight. To accomplish this, you must stand directly before the centre of the subject:
Practice with a bookshelf:
It isn’t always possible to capture both horizontal and vertical lines accurately at the same time, as the subject may be more attractive when caught from the side. In this case, place your focus on the vertical lines.
Avoid tilting the camera to fit a building into the frame, this will result in diagonal lines. This only looks good with symmetrical buildings and when you’re standing directly in the centre.
These techniques look easy, but they do require some practice. Once you master them, you will be rewarded with professional-looking photos every time.
Remember: the more accurately the photo is captured, the more professional it will look.
You can build on this method by capturing ALL of your subjects head-on and accurately. This can be anything from flowers to dogs or even people. Practice this technique by either getting on your tiptoes or bending down so that you are at eye level with their faces.
Once you’ve gotten a feel for how your positioning affects your finished image, you can begin tilting your camera slightly.
QUICK TRICK:
If you are capturing a group of people, ensure you are holding your camera or smartphone at about their belly button height. This will avoid capturing shots of people with big heads and short legs or vice versa.

+ How long will it take me to go through the course contents?
I would suggest learning a new skill every second day. You could essentially read the workshop from beginning to end in less than a couple of hours. But I always recommend learning something new and then practicing it - and then moving on to the next skill.

You have lifetime access to the course contents.

Hi, I’m Dawn Hänsch,
“Girls with Cameras” founder and creator of this fantastic quick-fix workshop!
My friend there’s one thing that really winds me up when I see other photographers teaching their skills, and that’s they always “assume” you have some kind of basic pre-knowledge, an expensive set of equipment and an abundance of time and money to travel to the most exotic locations.
I’m not just here to fill the gaps, but to lead you by the hand to becoming a stand-out photographer, and this workshop gives you the perfect foundation for your epic photography journey!
