It is the result of a delicate interplay – many small decisions that, when combined, create something special.
A good photo shouldn’t be one that comes about by chance.
Your goal should be to “read the room”, come up with an idea, and know exactly what you need for the photo to turn out exactly how you imagined.
Every outstanding photographer was once a beginner who simply found the answers they were looking for.

Out of all the photographers I’ve met since becoming a photographer in 2009, only two of them had any kind of photography education. Both of them felt unable to grow because their tutors forced their own opinions on what is right or wrong onto them. ALL THE OTHERS were self-taught.
Great photography isn't a talent you're born with, as the craft requires technical skills AND creative vision, and people are born with either one or the other, or a different gift entirely. What you need is a collection of skills that anyone can learn when they're taught in the right order and in a decipherable way.
