Learn all about
Part One: Inspiration & Creativity
Creative blockage:
We all go through it, but where does it come from and how can you overcome it? This chapter comes with a whole set of creative ideas which will get the creative juices flowing in no time.
Creating Mood Boards:
Collecting your ideas in one central space will help you understand more about what you actually like, but that's not the end of the story, because in this lesson you'll not only learn how to create your own mood board, but also how to analyse other photographer's images so you can build elements of their work into your own.
Making Notes:
There are many different ways in which you can collect your ideas, the key is to have them all in one place and to keep them precise. In this lesson I will be presenting different methods.
Part 2: Training your Creative Vision
Where are the best subjects for YOUR images?
In this lesson you will learn how to train your eye to detect the best content for your images and how to come up with ideas when there really isn't anything around which captures your eye.
Great image material
Learn why not every beautiful object don't necessarily turn into the best images and why some apparently boring things sometimes are.
Planning images in your own home in advance
Bad weather? Too cold / too hot to leave the house. Some of my best images are ones which I planned far in advance and in this lesson I will explain how to plan different kinds of images which you can take in your own home.
Planning images for your next holiday in advance
Are you planning a trip or a holiday? Then you'll want to capture as much of the scenery as you can and use your photography time sensibly.
The Secret behind Capturing the Moment
Here one second, gone the next. These kinds of candid shots will end up being some of the best images you will ever take. These are the images which make memories. You just have to "catch" them and in this lessons I'll be teaching you all my tricks about how to capture these precious moments.
Part 3: Taking Images which stand out in the Crowd
Ideas for great images:
It's sometimes not entirely obvious why an image is so special, but for this lesson I have collected several images which I will be explaining in detail. You will learn which components made the image so special and how to create similar images of your own.
The diffence between good and not quite good:
This lesson continues with the ideas of how to capture your subjects in unusual or flattering ways and also hones in on how to avoid your images looking boring and / or unprofessional.
Part 4: Creating your own photographic Style
The Naked Truth
The content of this lesson will help you gather the ingredients which you will include in all your future images.
The "YOU" in your images
This is where we'll come back to the mood boards you created at the beginning of the workshop. You'll learn how to analyse the components so you can build them into your future images in your own unique way.
Less is More:
Learn how to use Photo-Walks and challenges to your advantage. When to join in and when it makes more sense not to.
Part 5: Show the World what makes you YOU
Photograph with Intent:
Each of your images should be taken with a certain intention in mind. How will this image help you personally when you see it? Which time in your life do you want to remember and how? What would you like other people to feel when they see your work? These are key questions to ask yourself for all your future images and in this lesson you will learn what is possible and how images work.
Capturing Emotion and Telling Stories with your Images:
Every image should either tell a story or stir emotion. You will learn which elements of an images help to tell your story and how and about how different images looks awaken different emotions.
Example work from other photographers:
In this lesson I will introduce you to the work of several photographers and explain how they individually evoke emotions.
How to define what you really want to say:
How to include YOU elements in your images. Each of your images should include at least one YOU element so that it is recognisably yours. Learn how to work selectively so your photography doesn't lose its spontanity.
Part 6: Rounding things up
Practice what you've learned:
Some great activities which will help you combine your YOUness style elements whilst at the same time tell your story.
Extras:
Inspiration:
In this part of the workshop you'll be introduced to successful photographers who are all "on a roll". Their image galleries all have a distinctive look and they are all using their talents to succeed in other areas of their lives.
