Cropping Photos Perfectly for the Instagram Grid

After spending years trying to capture images that β€œwill also” look good as squares, Instagram has now decided to convert to a 4:5 grid view… ahhhh 😱

Now, all our beautiful squares have been cropped to upright rectangles.

If many of your photos were captured in landscape format (horizontal), I have a quick trick to help you select the best part of the image within the 4:5 frame and the correct download settings within the Lightroom software.
